The Presbyterian Church is a Christ centred, Bible based, reformed Church.
The Bunbury Region congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Australia (PCA) is a small, but warmly welcoming group of Christian 'believers'. It is a ministry of the Bassendean Presbyterian Church.
The Presbyterian Church of Australia began in 1901 by the federal United Church act. This legislation combined the previously existing Presbyterian Churches of the Colonies, State by State.
While the congregation here at South Bunbury is small it is supported by the Bassendean Church; the PCA in WA; and overall by some 600 congregations of the PCA - Australia wide.
The PCA is a 'confessional', Christian church. The supreme standard of faith and practice is the written Word of God, the Bible. The unifying subordinate standard being the Westminster Confession of Faith, which has been a valuable summary of 'the faith' and church governance, since 1690.
While the written standard is defined above, the 'living' standard is the incarnation, perfect life, sacrificial death, victorious resurrection, glorious ascension, heavenly presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. By whose finished work and righteousness, believers are justified, sanctified and finally glorified into eternal life.
To God's glory alone. Amen.
