TWO roses which were given as birthday presents to a 93-year-old woman were ripped from her Coverley Drive garden bed on Friday night.
The elderly woman, who did not want to be named, said her neighbour pointed out on Saturday morning the roses were gone.
“I don’t know what sort of roses they were, but they were a birthday present from my daughter,” she said.
“One was golden yellow and smelled beautiful and the other was red. They were about one and a half metres tall.”
The Coverley Drive resident said she did not hear anything during the night she believes they were stolen.
