Sticky start to Monday

02 Jul, 2009 01:35 PM
SEWAGE pipes laid at the start of this year flooded the grounds of Collie Outdoor World, causing a truck to get bogged.

The contractors who laid the pipes have since gone broke.

The rain had weakened the ground where the pipes were laid because the area had not been filled-in correctly, said owner Julia Suggett.

There had been no problems before the pipes were laid, said Ms Suggett, whose business is on the corner of Rowlands Road and Patstone Road.

“It’s a mess and disappointing,” she said. “It’s not a good start for a Monday morning.”
