PAUL Bennett won the Smokefree Collie Speedway Griffin Coal Production Sedan Collie championship in a 30-lap non-stop gruelling contest.
Up-and-coming Collie competitor Ricky Nuccini was close behind in second while Glen Hoskins retired on lap 21 when holding down a close third place.
Damon Trouchet had his own battle for the minor places with Collie young guns Paul Joss and Steven Perry in the mix along with Jarred Sutton.
Lapped cars came into play holding Paul Joss back allowing Steven Perry to move into fourth place.
A mid-race distance error cost Perry the fourth place when he received a penalty, giving Joss fourth behind Trouchet.
Morgan Melvin won the Smarter than Smoking top star junior championship.
Earlier the Smarter than Smoking top star juniors raced an exciting event with only one restart in the 15-lap feature.
Morgan Melvin went on to win the Collie championship ahead of Aaron Hancock, Jackie Moroney and Branden Sharpe.
The juniors put on a display of racing disregarding the opportunity to have several restarts.
At each incident, drivers got back on with the job despite losing positions.
One restart from four races was an exceptional result from the 13 cars that started.
Smarter than Smoking new star juniors with a small field of five cars had a top night of racing with Jarred Rick coming to the front with a couple of wins.
The junior Terry Termite trophy dash was won by Aaron Hancock in a competition that proved to be the tightest one ever.
All cars except one were within a second of each other.
Street Stock had a small field of seven competitors but still managed some top competitive racing.
Wayne Thomson, Jeff Genev and Shaun Fitzgerald all showed to form while Barry Hunter was travelling well in the feature before having his right rear tyre deflate.
