COLLIE Motorsports Group held its second Chrome Bumper Weekend last Saturday and Sunday.
Just fewer than two thousand spectators passed through the gates over the two days to witness one of Collie’s biggest motorsports weekends.
Saturday’s Nostalgia Drags was Collies first drag meet in four years.
The high calibre of competitors can be put down to the Nostalgia Drag Racing Series which was a huge part of gathering competitors from all over WA and from the eastern states.
As usual a huge amount of volunteers work hard over the weekend to make the event a success and there is no doubt that Collie is the home of regional motorsport.
An explosion of classic, nostalgia and old school muscle cars enter the Show and Shine event on Sunday.
Improvements to the Show and Shine area created enough room for double the entries and this event will only grow year by year.
Timed sprints also took place on Sunday around the Collie Motorplex 1.6 kilometre circuit.
