Collie rock band Sisters Doll score US festival gig

COLLIE rock band Sisters Doll will perform at the Rockaloma Festival alongside the likes of Guns N' Roses.

The lineup was released last week, with other high profile bands playing at the American festival in May including Alice in Chains, Korn and Ratt.

Sisters Doll drummer Bryce Mileto said it was a big milestone for the band.

"To be on the same flyer as Guns N' Roses, Steel Panther, Escape the Fate, Cheap Trick, Ratt and to be playing at the same festival as these bands that we grew up listening to is like a dream come true," he said on his Facebook site.

Band manager Jillian Jake said it was rare for Australian bands to get the opportunity to play at the festival.

"I have spoken with Aussie bands that have been trying to play this festival for five years, yet Sisters Doll get in on their first attempt, very lucky," Jake said.

She said playing at the festival with such high profile bands was proof of Sisters Doll's talent and professionalism.

"Their songs are great and they will blow them away," Jake said.

"They have the whole glam look going and I truly believe glam is making a comeback."

The festival is in Pryor, Oklahoma, from May 24 to 26.
