‘Stabbed’ man fined in Collie court

A 32-YEAR-OLD man told Collie Magistrate's Court last week he had been stabbed and beaten outside his family home in Busselton.

Nathan Charles Chitty claimed three men had stabbed him. He told Magistrate Kelvin Fisher the assault involved drugs.

Chitty was charged with breaching a police order by returning to his family home on Australia Day, hours after he was removed from the area.

He had been ordered not to return until the following day. Police drove him to a friend's house despite him not having seen the man for 10 years, Chitty said.

He returned to his family's house to visit his children and was assaulted on the way.

Chitty pleaded guilty to breaching a police order and was fined $400 with costs of $68.
