A COLLIE man has been charged and had his vehicle impounded after he was allegedly caught speeding and doing a burnout in front of police on Saturday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said traffic officers conducting speed checks on Australind bypass saw a Holden Commodore V8 sedan speeding along Raymond Road.
It is also alleged the Holden driver did a burnout on the Australind bypass, causing several other drivers to take evasive action to avoid a crash.
The 21-year-old was charged with reckless driving and will front Bunbury Magistrates Court on April 28.
His vehicle was impounded for three months.
