PREPARATIONS for a charity motorcycle ride are revving up, with organisers hopeful of a good turnout to support the event.
The South West Riders Social Club will hold its second annual charity ride on April 27 to raise funds for the Roche Park Boxing Club in Collie.
One of the organisers, John Hinsey, said he was looking forward to riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the event.
While it rained for last year's inaugural event, which attracted about 20 riders, Mr Hinsey was hopeful there would be many more participants this year.
"The money will go towards maintaining existing equipment and providing new equipment for the boxing gym, which is a community facility in Collie," he said.
Participants would pay a $20 donation to take part in the ride, which would depart the Capel Tavern at 11am and make several stops before finishing at the Federal Hotel in Collie.
"There will be raffles on the day and some prizes at the end," Mr Hinsey said.
