A three-hour hearing into allegations Waratahs coach Michael Cheika abused a television cameraman in South Africa was adjourned until next week in Auckland on Thursday.
A statement from Super Rugby's governing body SANZAR said judicial officer Nigel Hampton QC had adjourned the hearing "for consideration and to make decisions on factual matters presented during the hearing".
It will resume next Tuesday at 5.30pm AEST.
Cheika appeared via teleconference from the Waratahs' hotel in Auckland.
He is accused of verbally threatening a Super Sport cameraman in the second half of the Waratahs' spiteful loss to the Sharks in Durban on March 29.
After the match, Cheika said he had left the coaches' box and gone down to the sideline at Kings Park Stadium to get a message to his captain Dave Dennis, who was serving 10 minutes in the sin bin at the time.
Privately, Cheika admitted to telling the cameraman to stop filming him but denied saying anything abusive. Super Sport's footage is believed to show Cheika remonstrating with the cameraman. Team manager Sam Cashman and athletic development manager Haydn Masters were standing close to Cheika at the time.
The misconduct charge, which remained a mystery as SANZAR refused to provide details to the media, was brought against Cheika on April 10 and set down for an April 16 hearing. It was later delayed a week after Cheika requested time to prepare his case.
