Police are investigating a suspected homicide in Dianella on Tuesday night.
Police were called about 5.20pm to a block of units on Grand Promenade, where they found the body of a 44-year-old woman.
Channel Seven reporter Grant Wynne told Radio 6PR police had talked to a number of residents who lived in the flats but were yet to identify a "person of interest".
Federal police have issued arrest warrants for two Australian men who recently posted images of themselves posing with severed heads, holding guns and standing over bloodied bodies.
They have also threatened to kill Australian soldiers and all non-Muslims.
Police are searching for a missing Esperance man who has not been seen since Tuesday afternoon.
Peter James Starr was last seen driving a white Toyota Hilux, registration E 28062, in Esperance and concerns are held for his safety because he has not confirmed any travel plans.
His Hilux has a large freezer on the tray of the ute and two antennas on the front but no longer has the canopy or sleeper pictured fitted to it.
Anyone who sees Mr Starr or his vehicle should call Police on 131 444.
Gelignite found in the front garden of a home in Kalgoorlie yesterday will be examined by the bomb squad on Wednesday morning.
The explosive was found at a Wortley Street home, and the bomb squad traveled overnight to Kalgoorlie.
They're expected to dispose of the gelignite before midday, and surrounding houses have been evacuated.
If you're on the roads this morning, first of all put down your mobile phone, that's dangerous.
Secondly, avoid Gnangara Road and surrounding roads at all costs, because a multiple-car crash has closed the road in both directions.
Traffic on surrounding streets is at a stand-still and will be for some time as emergency services clear the debris.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the crash.
