Two intruders have stolen a number of items from a Bevan Way property in Collie after kicking down the back door early Sunday morning.
Between 5 - 6am one offender went into the main bedroom and switched a light on.
The offender was startled and challenged by a sleeping occupant in the room who chased the offenders to the Raymond and Coombe Street area where they jumped over a number of fences and into people’s back yards while trying to escape.
Collie police believe the two offenders had attended a party on Palmer Road before forcefully entering the property.
According to descriptions given to police both offenders are between 15-20 years old.
One offender was wearing a white T shirt, mustard coloured pants with black short hair and dark skin.
The second offender had dark blonde hair and was wearing blue track pants with a black shirt.
Collie police senior sergeant Mike Dean said he was appauled this sort offence would be committed in Collie. "My officers were outraged at this gross breach of privacy," he said.
"Police have interviewed dozens of suspects of interest."
