AFTER a sluggish start, Bunbury had the first free shot at goal in their grand final clash against Collie.
However, a brilliant save by Collie's Baily Carroll prevented the first score on the board going to the opposition.
Then it was Curtis Jorgensen's chance with the first set shot for Collie but he failed to convert.
The quick feet of Dami Afolabi again gave Collie another shot at goal but it fell just short.
Next up was Jameson Moloney who had everyone cheering as he kicked a massive shot at goal from the centre line.
However, the ball scraped over the top of the goal.
It meant when the half-time whistle went the score was still 0-0.
An unfortunate handball incident forced the first penalty shot for Bunbury who were able to put the first score on the board.
This worked in Collie's favour because it served to get the team fired up and determined to make a mark.
An error from the opposition enabled Collie to have its first penalty shot at goal and Jorgensen was able to equalise.
At the final whistle the score was a 1-1 draw necessitating a penalty shoot out.
Jakob Pilatti took the first penalty kick and made it count.
He then went on to be the keeper.
Bunbury also scored on their first penalty.
Jake Avins scored next with Bunbury following suit.
Curtis Jorgensen scored the next penalty and then Pilatti took a beautiful save, putting Collie ahead by one.
Jack Hollins had the next shot and converted as did the following Bunbury player.
Hayden DeAngelis took the last kick to bring victory to Collie in the penalty shoot out.
Collie played a great season under the coaching of Rob Chiellini with the team finishing top of the ladder before taking out the grand final.
