RUAH mental health is offering a free workshop for people who work with parental mental illness in Collie on Monday afternoon.
The workshop will raise awareness of the needs of families with parental mental illness, and increase appreciation of the ways in which parenting may be affected so workers can identify ways to pro-actively support parents.
Ruah mental health manager Carol Clark said the particular issues for children in families where a parent experiences a mental illness will be discussed in the training along with ways to support children’s capacity for resilience.
To register and venue location please email perspectives@ruah.com.au with the workshop date in the subject line.
