The family pastor of the Kambalda mother killed with her three children in a horror car crash in West Australia's Goldfields on Sunday night has spoken about the impact of the tragedy on the small community.
Emmet Moyo and her children Sibonginkosi, 8, Sibusiso, 5 and Sandulo, 1, of Kambalda, were killed when their Hyundai Getz crashed with a Hino bus carrying mine workers just before 7pm on the Goldfields Highway about 30 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Pastor Phil from the Forward in Faith Pentecostal Church told Radio 6PR's Breakfast program on Tuesday morning the family had been among his congregation before the crash.
"It was supposed to be a very good time after a wonderful service and fellowship together," Pastor Phil said.
"It's very hard and difficult time now, we are [having] a very difficult time at the moment. We are trying to come to terms with the situation," Pastor Phil said.
"They are just a family that was a blessing family in the church – they are people who loved God so much, worked hard to encourage others to love God.
"It's a hard time at the moment. We are just going up and down to just put ourselves together.
Pastor Phil said he had spoken to Mrs Moyo's husband, Bongani, who had left for Zimbabwe on Friday.
"He's trying to get to terms with things as well – it's a very difficult moment at the moment.
"We have given him the news and we are now planning how to repatriate the bodies back home."
Pastor Phil described the children as "good little kids".
"[They were] just little kids who loved God," he said.
He said the congregation and community would come together and support each other to deal with the tragedy.
"As a church we always hope to get involved so much together with our flock to chapter and comfort them in the physical but believing that God will be taking over the situation and comforting them," he said.
