TWO rosy-faced Collie locals are on a mission to raise money to help end women's cancer and they need the community's support.
Rose Hay and Essy Howells aka ‘Team Rosy’ will be participating in the 60km walk, 'The weekend to End Women’s Cancers’, which is being held in Perth on the weekend of 28-29 March 2015.
In order for Rose and Essy to be able to participate they must first raise $2,000 each to benefit the ‘Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research’ and they will be doing this with a 'Ride around the River' fundraiser in Collie on Sunday .
The fundraiser, thanks to Crank N Cycles, will start at 11:00am from Soldiers Park entrants will have a choice of riding a three kilometre route or a seven kilometre route.
Entry fee of $10 per person includes a sausage sizzle and drink upon the groups return to Soldiers Park.
All funds raised by the pair they are immediately used to further the research into cures and treatments for women’s cancers.
For any enquiries please phone either Rose 0427 320 809 or Essy 0420 499 688.
Look out for future fundraising events organised for this worthy cause and thanks in advance to all who support Rose and Essy on their quest to achieve their goal.
