COLLIE Basketball Association's 2014-15 season began last week with Roche Park alive with basketball action on Monday and Tuesday.
All grades have great numbers and juniors contested keenly in their first game of the season.
The CBA introduced new electronic stadium scoring and parents that stepped forward to have a go were amazed at the ease and simplicity the new system presented.
Now that teams have been entered into the data base forthcoming weeks will be even simpler and allow the CBA access to player statistics and data that once took many hours to retrieve.

CBA president Travis Ellison was thrilled with the start to the season and the way in which many new initiatives were implemented for the first time and the willingness of many players and parents to step forward and assist the CBA present basketball to the Collie community.
All age-group fixtures are now on the collie basketball website, colliebasketball.asn.au, and can also be accessed using the Sporting Pulse app on your mobile device linked to the CBA.
In the senior men's competition Ash Stewart showed his radar could still locate from the three-point-arc with ridiculous ease while Matt Storen, Adam Becker and Luke Greenmount were great in their return to the court.
Kate Varis showed she has lost none of her basketball prowess over winter, combining superbly with Lauren Massara in the women's A-grade game to defeat Rebels.
There will be a referee clinic on November 8 run by Darryl Fishwick from 1-5pm at Roche Park. Anyone with an interest in basketball, referees, potential referees, coaches, junior and senior players and parents are welcome to attend to improve their understanding of rules and the way they are implemented on court.
