THE cricket world has been devastated by the tragic loss of Phillip Hughes and this weekend cricket leagues across the country will mark the loss of the Australian batsman.
The LGM Industries Bunbury and Districts Cricket Association will pay tribute to Hughes with a minute silence before every junior and senior match throughout the weekend.
Players will also wear black armbands as a sign of respect for Hughes.
Association president Paul Gardiner said the loss of Hughes was a tragic event for everyone in the cricket community.
“It really has left everyone numb,” he said.
“It’s a true tragedy and the BDCA will be paying tribute to Phillip over the weekend.”
The BDCA will play games on both Saturday and Sunday this week with a double-header scheduled on the fixtures.
