Former Collie Senior High School student Shauna Iley has done what many people dream of doing - owning their own business.
What makes her story so remarkable is that her business journey started in high school.
Ms Iley started out as work experience at the Collie Floral Studio seven years ago.
"I studied business retail at Collie Senior High School, which has a structured workplace learning component," she said.
"I worked one day a week for a year which developed into a traineeship over two years."
From January next year Ms Iley will officially take over as shop owner.
She doesn't feel the pressure and believes she is ready for the opportunity.
"I love floristry because it's creative and fun and I get to work with beautiful flowers," she said.
"I'm looking forward to working for myself. I love what I do."
"My friends think owning my own business is really awesome.
"They also reminded me I will now have no life as all my free time will go into the business!"
Ms Iley does all the floral arrangements in-store, but does have one particular favourite.
"I love peonies," she said.
"They are only available one month every year and they are the most amazing flower.
"They smell and look amazing."
