AMAROO Primary School hosted the very first Scoot-A-Thon to feature in Collie.
The scooter course traversed the whole of Amaroo's grounds.
Kids scooted through tunnels and makeshift forests at breakneck speed wearing the necessary protective gear of course.
In the true spirit of a triathlon, kids had to get off their scooters to run up stairs throughout the course.
There were jumps where some fearless kids even got some air.
Mums checked everyone was sticking to the course and that there were no stacks.
Parents and Citizens Association president Simone Fraser said the Scoot-A-Thon was helping raise money to buy outdoor game sets, an underwater play area and other various sporting equipment.
"Participation in this obviously makes the kids get physical, which is good," Ms Fraser said.
Each participant in the Scoot-A-Thon was sponsored.
More than $8000 has already been raised through other events.
Ms Fraser said the P and C did a lot of fundraising activities like this.
"We appreciate all the support," she said.
