Like many proud parents, Jade Ruthven has been snap-happy lately capturing the smiles and giggles of her baby daughter Addison.
Not surprisingly, a number of those photos made their way onto Mrs Ruthven's social media profiles, where they could be seen by friends and family.
But it seems some of her so-called friends were irritated by the baby updates – so much so, that one wrote an anonymous note and dropped it in her letterbox.
"I have got together with a few of the girls and we are all SO OVER your running commentary of your life and every single thing Addy does," the letter read.
"Look we all have kids that we are besotted with – guess what – every parent thinks their kid is the best ever. But we don't ram it down everyone else's neck!"
Rather than politely pointing out the issue, the author unleashed a torrent of frustration punctuated by numerous exclamation marks.
"She crawls off the mat – we DON'T care!!!!! She's six months old – BIG DEAL!!!!" the note continued.
And if that wasn't a kick in the teeth, the note offered a vicious barb at Mrs Ruthven's employment status.
"We can't wait for you to get back to work – maybe you won't have time to be on Facebook quite so much."
Mrs Ruthven's husband Ryan has leapt to her defence and posted the offending letter online.
Have you ever received anything like attached pic in the mail? My wife did! Lucky she's strong.
