The Victoria Hotel has officially re-opened after new ownership took over in December.
The Vic has been cleaned up and renovated to create a modern feel in keeping with the traditional structure of the building.
Owner Rebecca Spry said she had always wanted to own her own pub one day and that day has become a reality.
“The opportunity came up to buy the pub and I took that opportunity.”
The Vic officially reopened last Tuesday, with an official launch party taking place on Saturday April 11.
Ms Spry used to work as a bar manager at the pub when she was younger and has always enjoyed the social atmosphere of working in the hospitality industry.
“I am a very social person and I really like the interaction with people I can have in this job.”
Ms Spry said that the Vic’s chef Kasey Riley is planning on establishing some regular food specials and expanding the menu once the kitchen is up and running.
Ms Spry said that she hopes to create a musical vibe in the pub that will hope to attract a young crowd as well as families.
“We want to get some local bands playing on a regular basis.”
The Vic also features local beer Brew42 on tap, which is brewed in Allanson.
