NISSAN V8 driver James Moffat will be aiming for glory at this weekend's competition at Perth's Barbagallo Raceway.
After a month away last year’s Bathurst runner-up could not wait to get back aboard the Altima.
Moffat was stopped by a WA police officer on Monday after he was seen racing along the Swan River.
Luckily Moffat and his team had been granted permission to clock up some high speeds on a designated street as part of the event's promotion.
The drive alongside the Swan River was to announce a new primary sponsor on Moffat’s number 99.

The new sponsorship deal is the result of a new agreement between Toshiba and Intel Security.
The agreement will benefit all Toshiba new customers who are offered 30 days free access to Intel Security’s pre-installed McAfee LiveSafeTM product, which is one of the leading security products in the world.
“It’s great to have the support of Toshiba during this next phase of the V8 Supercars Championship,” Moffat said.
“Toshiba has been a long-time backer of myself and Nissan Motorsport so to be able to take them to the next level is something that I’m really proud of.”
Racing in WA presents many challenges with grip being the biggest talking point heading into this weekend’s three races at Barbagallo Raceway.
“We kick this new deal off at Perth’s Barbagallo Raceway, and it’s a circuit that I real enjoy," he said.
"It definitely comes with its own unique challenges, and we know how tough the competition is, but we’ll certainly be giving it our best shot.”
The Supersprint format this weekend will see two 60 kilometre races on the Saturday with the single 200 kilometre race on Sunday to bring in team strategy.
