Major Crash investigators are currently at the scene of a fatal crash near Collie which has claimed the life of a female passenger.
The woman, who is believed to be a 21-year-old, was one of three passengers in a Ford Falcon sedan being driven along Mungalup Road around 5 kilometres out of the Collie town site.
At around 3.20am on Saturday morning, it is believed the car veered off the road and hit a tree before hitting a tree stump.
This caused the vehicle to become airborne and roll, landing on its roof.
The car then caught fire and the 21 year old woman died at the scene of the crash.
Two male passengers, a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old, were conveyed to Bunbury Hospital.
The 19-year-old man is undergoing surgery.
The 23-year-old male driver has been conveyed to Collie Hospital with minor injuries.
On Saturday afternoon, officers charged him with dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and driving with a blood alcohol level in excess 0.08.
He will appear before the Collie Magistrates Court on June 10, 2015.
