THE Collie Eagles were defiant in round seven after having their first winning points for the season taken away.
The Eagles hosted the Busselton Magpies who were determined for a win to set themselves up as a final contender.
Busselton were dominant early and continued that way throughout the game to leave with a 29 point win.
The Magpies kicked six goals in the first quarter including, two in row by Dylan Patterson.
Collie fumbled possession throughout the ground, making it hard to convert and only had two goals at quarter time.
The game was more even in the second term with Collie restricting Busselton to just one goal and two behinds.
However, Collie were unable to take advantage of this and only kick one major themselves.
Busselton were able to kick away in the second half with another four goals to Collie's three.
The opponents slowed in the last time but it was enough to keep the Eagles at bay.
The final score was 9.7.61 to 13.12.90.

It was a tough loss for the Eagles reserve with a low score for the end results.
The Eagles led for most of the game but were overrun by a more determined Busselton side in the last few minutes of the game and lost by 9 points.

The final score was 5.7.37 to 6.10.46.
The Colts were well beaten by a skilful Busselton side.
The boys showed some great team play but must be more consistent with their effort.
The home side only managed two goals for the game compared to Busselton's 19.
The final score was 2.1.13 to 19.14.128.
