THE Lions Christmas Pageant is fast approaching and its time to start thinking about entering a float.
Lions Club member Ray Pilatti is encouraging local businesses to get involved in the pageant.
“Businesses should start to think about putting a float together, it would be great to get them involved and its good promotion for their business,” he said.
“If people want to indicate their intentions to be involved in the parade, then we can start to get numbers together.”
Mr Pilatti said those who do not want to design a float are welcome to walk in the parade.
“It’s a good opportunity for community groups and clubs to also get involved,” he said.
There are no restrictions for float designs as long as it has a Christmas theme.
Motor vehicles need to be licenced and be able to turn around the roundabout.
Of course no Christmas pageant would be complete without a visit from the big jolly bearded man.
“There will be a special visit from Santa who will be riding on the Lions float,” Mr Pilatti said.
“We just want people to start thinking about possible designs.”
