PINJARRA has kept its chances of securing three consecutive premierships alive following a 50-point win against Baldivis.
Baldivis, who are now eliminated, started the game strongly kicking five goals to Pinjarra’s three in the opening term.
Unfortunately for Baldivis they could only manage one more goal for the game and despite trailing by just one-point at halftime went on to lose 13.13 (91) to 6.5 (41).
Jacob Williams and Clay Wheatley each kicked three goals for Pinjarra.
Pinjarra will now face Waroona in a do-or-die semi-final after Waroona suffered a heavy defeat against Halls Head.
Halls Head highlighted its premiership credentials with a 13.10 (88) to 5.9 (39) demolition of Waroona.
Halls Head started strongly to lead by 19 pints at quarter-time and 24 at halftime.
That lead blew out to 37 by three-quarter-time and got out to as much a 54 points in the final quarter before Waroona reduced the final deficit to 49.
Marc Re and Brad Culpitt lead the way for Halls Head with four goals each.
Halls Head will now play South Mandurah with the winner of that game straight into the grand final.
The loser will face the winner of Waroona and Pinjarra in a preliminary final.
In the Reserves, Waroona ended Pinjarra’s finals campaign with a five point win while South Mandurah progressed to a preliminary final with a 30-point win against Halls Head.
In the Colts, Mandurah was eliminated by Baldivis following a six-point loss and South Mandurah defeated Halls Head by four points.
