Residents in parts of Golden Bay and Secret Harbour are now able to connect to the National Broadband Network (NBN), following the official switch-on this week of services to the area.
More than 570 homes and businesses in parts of those suburbs are now able to connect to the NBN.
The latest areas to be switched on runs along Warnbro Sound Avenue, bordered in the north by Secret Harbour Boulevard and in the south by Blue Fin Drive.
Connecting to the NBN network is not automatic so people should contact their phone or internet provider to make the switch.
Today’s announcement begins an 18-month countdown for these homes and businesses to switch to the NBN before most existing landline phone and internet services are turned off.
