A family has uploaded dashboard camera footage of their narrow escape after a driver spinning out of control on the Kwinana Freeway forced their car to the shoulder.
"While me and the family are travelling home, this happened in front of us," the poster said, posting the footage to user-generated content site Liveleak.
The video shows the driver of a Subaru towing an open trailer which begins to wobble on the road. The driver loses control and the car and its load swerve sharply across the freeway, blocking three lanes of traffic and forcing the family whose dash cam is recording to swerve on to the median strip to avoid a hit.
Women's screams and cries of "dear God" can be heard in the background, with the uploader drily noting that "mother-in-law provides comedy aspect to the video".
