One of the five people charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in the boot of a burnt-out car in Perth's south-east has pleaded guilty to the murder.
Justine Campbell, 45, of Hamilton Hill recently changed her plea to guilty in Perth's District Court, admitting she murdered Travis Mills, 30, on Good Friday 2015 in Hilbert near Armadale.
She is expected to be a witness for the prosecution during the trial of the remaining four accused, which includes her husband.
Mr Mills' body was found in the boot of a burnt-out green 2010 Ford Falcon XR6 after he had been building a trampoline for his daughter's first birthday.
Campbell's co-accused, Seleena Monique Ruthsalz, 26, and her mother Joanne Christine Ruthsalz, 45, Darren Greame Kenneth Campbell, 49, and Darryl Raymond Newton, 48, have denied the charge and were due to commence a seven-week trial in the Perth District Court on Thursday.
Seleena Monique Ruthsalz was Mr Mill's partner at the time of the murder and they share a child together.
The trial was adjourned to Monday after the prosecution asked for more time to prepare their opening statement given the revelation Ms Campbell would provide evidence.
