Collie-raised glam-rock ensemble Sisters Doll is on a mission to launch its follow-up album into the Australian billboard charts.
The band is comprised of brothers Brennan, Bryce and Austin Mileto AKA B. Munroe, Lipz and Auzy Foxx respectively.
Brennan Mileto said their roots in Collie helped to establish their undying love of music.
“We grew up in a big musical family, dad was a big music fan so it was always in our blood and dad always had music playing in the background when we were growing up throughout the house,” he said.
“It was just a passion of ours, we were big KISS fans, and we're a musical family so that’s where it all stemmed from.”
The brothers have toured non-stop for the past six years, relocating from Collie to Melbourne to get their sound out there.
The group also made the top five of reality TV series Australia’s Got Talent earlier this year.
Mr Mileto said the band adjusted well to the transition between their home town and the national stage.
“It was great, we had always planned to move somewhere where we could take our music to the next level so two and a half years ago we made the move to Melbourne and worked our asses off going up the east coast and trying to get our name out in Australia as best we could, all independently,” he said.
“The Australia’s Got Talent arose and we did it as a bit of a PR tool and then ended up getting to the top five which was really cool, we never thought we would get that far.
“We just took the opportunity and the exposure from the show just amazing, the support from Collie and Australia was very overwhelming and we were happy to get there especially since we got there on public votes which was really flattering and we were very humbled by it.”
The group launched a crowd-funding campaign for their follow-up album and a film clip for the first track, making over $15,000 in 60 days.
Mr Mileto said the group was excited to spend some quality time in the recording studio.
“We haven’t recorded for so long because we moved so we pushed the first album which was released back in 2012,” he said.
“We really haven’t been in the studio for a long time so performing live is always our time because we’re a high-energy sort of band, we feed off the audience and just enjoy playing live.
“Going into the studio, we’re able to create things and hear the songs that you play live come to life.”
The group has planned to release the album before touring Australia and Europe.
