COLLIE Under 13’s team faced Eaton Dardanup at Eaton last Saturday.
Eaton Dardanup produced an early goal, penetrated Collies’ defences and put pressure on keeper Liam Donovan, who worked hard to prevent further goals.
Jake Pitchers, showing great attacking on the forward line, scored Collie’s first goal bringing the score to one all.
Hunter Stocks showed great ball play against the opposition.
Despite great defence from Jake Smith and Lachlan Papalia, Eaton Dardanup bought the score to 3-1.
Collies forwards and mid-line in Katelyn Werner, Erfan Barbiae and Methias Ellefsen delivered strong attacks and great passing leading to Jake Pitchers’ impressive 2nd goal.
Collie were unlucky not to score with good attacking from Jack Costa and Hunter Stocks.
Eaton Dardanup managed to bring the score to 4-2 in the first half but Liam Donovan produced excellent keeping skills, keeping the opposition’s score from being higher.
Collie led a strong attack. Justin Davis and Campbell Watt produced some solid defence with Jack Costa doing a superb job keeping under pressure. Jake Pitchers scored a third goal bringing it to 4-3.

IN Round 12 Collie Under 16's faced the Dynamites at Forrest Park.
In their last meeting in May, at Roche Park the final score was 0-8 to the Dynamites.
Our team went in feeling good about this match more than the others as we had one substitute.
Dynamites opened strongly, keeping pressure on our back line.
The defence held up good, but not good enough. Collie got caught off guard a couple times allowing the Dynamites to convert.
Our defenders and goalie Declan, cleared the ball to the midfielders well and we made a few attacking runs using the wide areas.
However we could not convert from the chances, where as the Dynamites did. At the end of the first half the score was 9-0.
After conceding two goals early in the second half the back line switched on and stopped many balls with blocks and Brendan's keeping skills.
The two brothers, Campbell and Lachlan showed good teamwork in defence.
Long balls from the keeper allowed Luke and Dylan to create a good amount of chances, and eventually the hard work paid off. Luke got possession of the ball from the keeper’s mistake and scored for Collie.
The defence helped the midfield set more attacking runs with good passing and better control.
The final score of the game was 15-1.
The team has improved a lot since the start of the season and we hope for a good ending to it.
We'd like to thank Jack, Lachlan and Methias who played for us, to the parents, Dorran and our lines woman on the day.
