'Coward' punch victim Jason Goodwin on Thursday remained in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital two days after being attacked, allegedly unprovoked, at a Mandurah pub.
According to Nine News Perth, witnesses said the 27-year-old chef, from Mandurah, was playing pool at the Silver Sands Tavern around 4.30pm and had his hands in his pockets when he was punched in the face.
WAtoday understands the force of the punch caused Mr Goodwin to fall backwards and hit his head on the corner of a wall.
St John Ambulance paramedics found him unconscious a short time later.
On Thursday morning, he remained in a critical condition in hospital, with a fractured skull and brain hemorrhaging.
Mandurah Detectives described the incident as a "gutless" and "unprovoked" attack.
The man's attacker was not at the scene when emergency services arrived but police are reviewing security vision from the area.
A friend of Mr Goodwin's on Wednesday posted online that she was angry be had been attacked.
"Come on Jason Goodwin, fight buddy!" she said.
"You're a tough guy you can pull through this, thoughts are with your family."
Mandurah Detectives are asking for the public's help to locate Jake Raymond Mosley who they believe could assist them in their inquiries into an assault.
The 27-year-old is known to frequent the Mandurah and Fremantle areas.
