Police in Karratha say they will continue their search into Wednesday for a man who went missing four days ago while mud-crabbing off the Pilbara coast.
Norman Leslie Bale, 52, set off alone in a dinghy from Back Beach boat ramp, 5 kilometres east of Karratha, about 5pm on Friday.
Police say witnesses suggest he might have had trouble with his boat engine before setting off.
An extensive land, air and sea search is underway - Mr Bale's boat was located on Tuesday floating on the west side of Dixon Island by a recreational fisherman.
Police said it was mostly submerged with just the bow showing out of the water.
There is no sign of Mr Bale though, and police said the boat will be recovered and brought back to the mainland.
Local Police, Water Police and Army personnel are expected to resume a search on the water on Wednesday while local police and State Emergency Service volunteers will search along the shore near where the boat was located.
