Rebecca Judd gives birth to twin boys

The wife of former Carlton and West Coast Eagles captain Chris Judd announced the news via social media just a few hours after the delivery.

"Tom and Darcy Judd are here! Born at lunch time today, perfectly healthy. We are the luckiest parents in the world," she captioned a photo of the babies posted to her Instagram account.

The 33-year-old speech pathologist, blogger and beauty entrepreneur already has two young children - Oscar, 4, and Billie, 2.

Chris was present for the birth.

Tom and Darcy were conceived naturally after the couple admitted earlier this year to, "weighing up whether to go for a third. We thought we would give it a try."

When she announced her third pregnancy back in April, Judd confirmed her first scan didn't detect the second baby. It wasn't until her 12-week check-up that the couple were told to expect a multiple birth.

"I could see one baby, and then I could see a blob. And my words to my obstetrician were, 'What's that blob?'

"There was a little bit of silence, and then he said, 'That's another kid.' I screamed. I got the shakes and I almost fainted," she said at the time.

Judd, a Brownlow red carpet favourite, was absent from the awards on Monday night in Melbourne. Opting instead to watch the broadcast from home while trying to bring on the birth.

"Alright you two - get out. You're killin me," she said.

Under AFL rules, the latest additions to the Judd brood will become eligible for the draft in 2034.

Given Chris played 134 games for West Coast, including captaining the Eagles to the 2006 flag, both that club and Carlton will have access to his sons under the father-son rule.
