Winner: Emma won gold in all of her divisions at the Australian Dance Sport Golden West Dance Festival including the waltz, slow rhythm, Merrilyn, cha cha and jive.
Earlier this month local resident Emma Povee competed in the Australian Dance Sport Golden West Dance Festival.
On Sunday the October 9, Emma travelled to Perth with a small group of dedicated and talented dancers from the ‘Can Dance’ dance company to compete in the dancing competition.
Emma was very successful at the dance festival, winning gold medals in her division for all of her dances; the waltz, slow rhythm, Merrilyn, cha cha and jive.
Emma travels to Bunbury on a weekly basis for dance lessons and she continues to improve in confidence under the tuition of her instructors at the dance school; Collette and Lillie Howard.
Emma’s next goal is to master the paso doble and rumba dance routines.
