COLLIE little athletics held their first Friday night meet for the season with athletes smashing nine records on the night.
Under 6 athlete Keith Ambrose broke two records for the evening.
Ambrose threw an impressive 9.97 metres in the discus, beating the old record by 2.2m.
He also beat the U6 300m record with a 1:25.52 second run.
A special mention to Izaih Carter for also beating the 300m record, coming in second to Ambrose with a 1:29.83 run.
Both beating the old record of 1:30.15 sec. Well done to the both of you.
Marni Bercene broke the record for the new event for the U8 500m run with a 2:03.77sec run.
Gemma Buckle had a successful night with records in both the U9 70m and 400m events.
Buckle broke her own record of 11.63sec, for the 70m event with a 11.57sec sprint and breaking the 400m with a 1:27.61sec run.
In the Under 10 competition An-ne Pelser broke a 4-year-old record in the discus with a 18.4m throw.
Both Emily Davenport and Lily-Sue Rabaud broke the high jump record for U10. Davenport jumping 1.03m and Rabaud now holding the new record with 1.12m.
Kayla Aitken has continued her impressive start to the year, breaking her own triple jump record of 9.81m with a 10.11m jump.
The next meeting will be held this Friday.
