THE last meet for the year for the Collie Little Athletics club was held last Friday, with five records being broken.
Under 6 Keith Ambrose broke his own discus record of 9.97m with 11.04m.
Isabel Van Beuningen recorded her first ever athletics record in the 60m hurdles for the U6 girls, 20.58 sec.
Van Beuningen beat the old record by 6 sec.
Oliver Stewart, U8, put in an impressive run in the 500m event, beating his old personal best of 2:15.15 and beating the record by three seconds.
Stewart finished the run in 2:07.86. Gemma Buckle continued her amazing form throwing 14.06m in the U9 girls turbo javelin.
An-ne Pelser, U10, broke the record for the girls discus in her age group. Pelser broke her own record of 18.40m, by 4m with a 22.62m throw.
Noah Carter beat the 1500m for U11 boys with a 6:19.39 run. He has worked hard all year to beat the long distance record and it has finally paid off.
Kayla Aitken added another record, this time in the 100m. Aitken broke her own record, with a 13.74 sec sprint.
Congratulations to all the athletes for their hard work. The second half of the season starts in February.
