Perth police are appealing for the public's help identify a man who broke into an home in Applecross and threatened neighbours with a knife.
At around 6.35pm on Tuesday night an unknown man entered a residence on Duncraig Road and stole a number of items from the premises.
He then left the property and jumped over a side fence to get away.
The man then walked through the rear yard of the neighbouring premises, where he was spotted by a 58-year-old man living there.
The robber fled and the neighbour and his son chased after him in a vehicle.
The pair caught up with the offender a short time later at a primary school on Kintail Road, where they attempted to approach him.
The man pulled out a knife and threatened the pair, and attempted to damage the neighbour's vehicle before leaving.
The offender is described as being fair skinned, 20 to 30-years-old and with a medium build. He also had an unidentified tattoo on his left shoulder.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or make a report online.
