The Collie Badminton Association is looking for more players for its upcoming season.
The club began its Thursday night mixed socials hit-outs for the year on March 2.
The ladies clubs also play on Monday and Tuesday mornings at the Badminton Hall.
The new season is set to begin in May with a Monday night pennants competition.
Collie Badminton Association president Gerald Garner said the club is currently welcoming anyone who would like to come along and join. Mr Garner first became involved in the club in the 1970s.
The club received the Badminton Hall at Wallsend Ground in 1983, and has played there ever since.
“The level of skill in the early days was very high, we had state players and Ron Mills was one of our top players in the early years,” he said.
“We’ve had quite a few come through, come and go, representing the juniors over the years.
“Baddie was very competitive then, every town had their own competitions and we still run a country teams competition once a year so we have seven different come.”
He said people in Collie have always been involved in sport and were known for playing a wide variety of sports.
