According to Collie Police, approximately $40,000 of copper wiring was stolen by two individuals from Muja Power Station on Monday, January 2.
A 33-year-old male was arrested on January 11 and charged with stealing before being remanded in custody.
He was later charged with seven property offences.
In total, aggregate detriment caused by him is alleged to have been over $60,000.
Police confirmed he had allegedly sold over 1.3 tonnes of copper wiring over the past 12 months across WA.
Bail was refused by Bunbury Magistrates Court.
He was due next to appear in court on February 23 in Bunbury.
A 26-year-old male was arrested on February 3, believed to have played a minor part in the processing of the wire.
He was found guilty in Collie Magistrates Court on February 15 and received a $4000 fine.
