One business owner and personal trainer has worked towards providing fitness opportunities for Collie residents.

Go Life Fitness owner Tracy Mizzi-Gillespie has set up a fitness class in Central Park on Wednesdays from 5.15pm to 6.30pm.

She said the classes have focused on cardio and body weight exercises, assisting each person with their own goals.

“I always try to do different things to help the community, that’s my main aim in everything,” she said.

Fifteen people attended the first class last week.

The classes recently received sponsorship from McDonald’s Collie for a four-week challenge.

“My plan is to do these four weeks, stop for school holidays and hopefully find more sponsorship for a 10-week challenge,” she said.

Ms Mizzi-Gillespie said people could join for a gold coin donation, raising funds for McHappy Day.
