Premier Coal has agreed to be a major supporter of The Smith Family in Collie for a second consecutive year, providing $25,000 toward its Learning for Life program in 2017.
Di Blount, Program Coordinator for The Smith Family, thanked Premier Coal for its contribution toward the Learning for Life program.
Ms Blount said the program created opportunities for young people by providing long-term support for their participation in education.
Premier Coal General Manager Glenn Burlinson said the company was proud to be associated with the children's charity and the work it did to help break the cycle of disadvantage through education.
He said Premier Coal would also look to assist through mentoring opportunities, traineeships and workplace visits for Collie students.
