One of Australia’s leading spiritual mediums is bringing his world to the people of Collie as part of his latest tour.

Australian ghost whisperer Anthony Grzelka’s Whispers from Beyond experience is set to wow crowds at the Collie Ridge Motel on Wednesday, May 24 from 7pm.

The show sees him discussing the process as well as delivering audience readings and psychic work.

Grzelka said touring nationally and internationally as a spiritual medium had provided many profound experiences.

“One story that happened in Collie actually, that I found really interesting, was when I spoke to a young bloke who just before he died his family brought him to see me, he was terminally ill, and I can remember his dog coming through, because his dog had died only 12 months beforehand, and he was so excited because his dog was there, and animals come through all the time,” he said.

"About three years after I had done the reading, family members came back to me – I didn’t realise it was the same family – and he came through from the other side with his dog, it’s really interesting to see the transition from talking to them from this side and then seeing them from the other side.”

He said Collie had a rich history for spirits and unique encounters.

“One of the first times I ever saw a spirit, I suppose, was at the old Collie power station out on Patterson Road,” he said.

“Collie is a very historic, very old place so it wasn’t uncommon to have experiences with spirits in a place like Collie because there is so much history there.”

Grzelka was born in Bunbury and grew up in Collie.

“You sort of fall into it, I suppose. You realise you have got a talent and I never realised as a kid that I could do this, it is something that, over the years, I developed and realised that I could do it and that’s how I really got into it,” he said.

"With me, I have always had the ability and it’s something that has been stuck with me my whole life.”

Grzelka said it was initially a difficult decision and a big leap of faith to quit his job and take up work as a spiritual medium in his late 20s/early 30s.

He said spiritual mediums such as John Edwards and James Van Praagh have shined a light on the profession.

His 2017 tour has also included mediumship demonstrations in Canningvale, Newman, Port Hedland, Karratha, Albany, Kalgoorlie and Geraldton.

Whispers from Beyond also runs spirit guide workshops, psychic development workshops, ghost tours and seances around Western Australia as well as private readings.
