The Department for Child Protection and Family Support will be hosting a series of free information and training sessions on responding to child protection concerns in the South West during July.
These interactive learning sessions are targeted to mandatory reporters and non-mandatory reporters who work with children.
Topics that will be covered include; mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse, child abuse indicators, different types of child abuse, managing a disclosure of abuse, grooming techniques and behaviours, sexualised behaviours that are age appropriate, concerning and very concerning family and domestic violence, and child safe organisations.
The sessions will be held across the South West in the following locations;
Bunbury- Monday 24 July- 9am-1pm or 6pm-9pm.

Collie- Wednesday 26 July 9am-12pm.

The training sessions are held in collaboration with WA Health, the WA Police, the Department of Education, Catholic Education of WA and the Association of Independent Schools of WA, and are part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to protecting children.
