THE men’s team travelled down the hill to take on Dalyellup Park Rangers on Sunday.
After a brief settling in period, Jac Hollins opened the scoring around the 10-minute mark when Simon Pilatti found space to put the ball through for his fleet footed team mate.
Hollins would go on to score another two to complete his hat trick before the half was over.
Blake Slater also got on the scoreboard when his initial effort was parried back towards him to make it 4-0 at half-time.
The undermanned Dalyellup was much more solid in the second half as Collie looked too eager to go forward.
Time and time again the Rangers’ defence held strong to clear their lines. Youngster Dylan Gaynor eventually made it 5-0 with a close range strike.
The hosts suffered a red card five minutes before the end but the score line remained unchanged. Results elsewhere would go Collies way which affords them top spot on the ladder this week.
They face a real test this Sunday as they travel down to Manjimup to take on their heated rivals.
THE Collie ladies soccer team travelled down to Margaret River to face the same tough opponents as they did in last week’s fixture.
Unfortunately the score line would eventually mirror their last as well.
Lauren Davidson sustained an injury during the match, and despite their efforts, the visitors went down with a final score of 5-0.
