The following charges were heard in Collie’s Justice of the Peace Court on Wednesday, August 2:
Benjamin Dylan Evans, 31, was fined $900 and penalised $381.70 in court costs over an incident outside the Crown Hotel.
At 10.30pm on June 2, Evans was seen outside the Crown Hotel swearing at staff and attempting to gain entry while intoxicated, according to police prosecutor Senior Constable Lyn Lee.
He was denied entry before yelling “a bunch of f…..g c..ts”.
Police attended the scene and asked Evans to leave. He then walked 10 metres before turning around and yelling “f…..g queers” at police and telling them he would “f..k them up”.
Evans was arrested and taken to Collie Police Station at 10.40pm.
While placed in cell one, Evans behaved belligerently, swore and would not answer police questions.
At 11.32pm, he urinated on the floor of the cell. When asked why he didn’t use the toilet, he told officers “you c..ts wouldn’t let me out”.
Evan did not attend Justice of the Peace Court on Wednesday, August 2.

Liam Phillip Beedeison, 21, was slapped with a $200 fine along with court costs of $190.85 for possessing amphetamine.
Police detected Beedeison driving a Nissan Pulsar at 11.05am on May 28, travelling at 99 kilometres per hour in an 80km zone on Collie-Preston Road.
Police asked the driver if he had anything he shouldn’t. Beedeison removed clipseal bags containing rock and crystal ampthetamine from his wallet and handed them to police.
Justice of the Peace Dave Saunders also issued a destruction order for the drugs.

Emileo Reece Brown, 20, received a $500 fine along with court costs after police found a plastic smoking implement with cannabis on his possession in December.
Police and Department of Fisheries officers conducted a road block on Mungalup Road near Minninup Pool.
Police found the smoking implement and cone piece in a backpack in the boot of a Ford Falcon Sedan. Reece was a passenger at the time.
He admitted to ownership and smoking cannabis prior to the incident.
Brown was given a Cannabis Intervention Requirement but did not attend the intervention session.

Megan-Anne Chilcott, 20, was given an $1800 fine and had her licence removed for nine months over two driving-related charges earlier this year.
Chilcott was stopped by police while travelling on a Suzuki quad-bike without a registered number on Davis Street near Palmer Road at 5.32pm on June 1.
Police ascertained she was not authorised to drive that vehicle type. They found she had never held a licence and was suspended from obtaining a licence until June 22, 2018.
Police also found the vehicle was not licensed or subject to a permit.
Chilcott had explained to police she was using the road to get to the bush.

Sean Fisher, 21, was fined $150 along with court costs for a trespassing and police chase incident last month.
Police were called to an Atkinson Street residence at 2.08pm on July 15, responding to a suspicious person call.
Police found Fisher at the rear of the premises before the accused evaded by running through multiple neighbouring yards.
Patrolling officers then located and arrested Fisher. He admitted to not having permission to be there and did not know the residents.

Jacob Roger Graffin, 30, was fined $500 along with court costs after delivering an endorsed plea of guilty for two drug-related charges.
Police stopped Graffin for a random breath test and vehicle search while driving a Ford Laser on Forrest Street at 12.20am on May 4.
Officers located a black bag inside Graffin’s underwear containing 0.25 grams of amphetamine.
They also found a glass smoking implement containing traces of amphetamine at the scene.
Police asked questions but no comment was given.

Joan Marie Hansen, 28, was fined $750 along with court costs after being at the centre of a disorderly behaviour incident in May.
Hansen was seen on a roadway on Howie Place at 6.45pm on May 17 yelling and swearing at people in a home 60 metres away.
Police arrived on the scene and advised Hansen to stop causing a commotion in a public area or she would be arrested.
Hansen then continued to yell and swear past police before being arrested and taken to Collie Police Station.

Benjamin Michael Lawrence, 33, was hit with a nine month licence disqualification and $750 fine for driving while over the blood-alcohol limit.
Lawrence was stopped by police at 4pm on July 7 while travelling west in a Ford Falcon on Palmer Road near Davis Street.
Police saw the vehicle swerve and cross over double white lines. Police intercepted and ascertained Lawrence had consumed alcohol.
A roadside breath test registered 0.152 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath/0.143 grams per 100 millilitres of blood.
Lawrence, attending Justice of the Peace Court on August 2, pleaded guilty and told the court there was “no excuse” for his actions.

Jack James McMullen, 19, was hit with a no authority to drive (never held) charge after being stopped by police on June 6.
McMullen was stopped while travelling east on Palmer Road on a Suzuki motorcycle.
Police ascertained McMullen was not authorised to drive the vehicle.
Police inquiries revealed McMullen was the holder of an L-permit and was not accompanied by an authorised adult.
It was also found he had never held a licence. A mandatory disqualification under section 18 of the Road Traffic Act was given.
Justice of the Peace Dave Saunders issued a $150 fine.

Jahley Poata, 25, was given a $1750 fine and a nine month licence disqualification for a driving offence earlier this year.
Poata was stopped for a Random Breath Test while travelling in a Holden Commodore on Forrest Street near Lefroy Street at 7.36pm on June 6.
After being asked for personal details, Poata provided the name Caleb Albert Sheldon Clendon to police.
He gave them the name three times before admitting he had provided an incorrect name because he did not have a licence. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
Poata was found to be not authorised to drive, and his licence had been suspended in Collie Magistrates Court in August 2015.
His licence was also subject to nine fine suspension cases.

Charmion Ann Sewell, 34, was given a $550 fine along with court costs after being charged for driving without authority due to a fines suspension.
Sewell was stopped while travelling south on Steere Street in a Toyota Paseo at 10.24pm on May 24.
Police found her licence has been suspended as it was subject to five unpaid fines and five fine suspension cases.
Sewell did not attend Justice of the Peace court on August 2 but provided an endorsed plea of guilty.

Jeremy Evan Sims, 29, was given a $550 fine and a seven month licence disqualification for driving while exceeding the blood alcohol content limit.
Sims was stopped by police while travelling east in a Mitsubishi Magna on Throssell Street a 12.53am on June 23.
Police had ascertained Sims had consumed alcohol. A breath test registered 0.101 grams per 210 litres of breath/0.095 grams per 100 millilitres of blood.

Trevor John Tilbrook, 47, was given a $250 fine along with court costs after providing an endorsed plea of guilty to exceeding the blood alcohol content while driving.
Tilbrook was stopped by police at 8.26pm on June 2 while travelling on Mungalup Road near Collie Scenic Drive.
A breath test analysis registered 0.66 grams per 210 litres of breath/0.59 grams per 100 millilitres of blood.
Justice of the Peace Dave Saunders took a prior drink driving charge into account.
