Collie Eagles Football Club reserves coach Paul Moyses has commended his side for their performance in the 2017 SWFL season and for making the finals.
The reserves coach, talking to the Mail after Sunday’s clash with Carey Park, was proud of his side’s form throughout the season.
“For the season as a whole, we’re very happy to make the finals, and the league side making the finals as well,” He said.
“It has been good for the club and a successful year. Obviously, we’re disappointed five minutes after a game to lose but I will wake up tomorrow morning and I will be a lot happier.
“Still feeling like we should have won that game and I was disappointed we lost but, for the season, I am really happy they have played, they have played some really good footy.”
The reserves finished the regular season in fourth place with 10 wins and eight losses.
The team scored 40 points and a 114.98 percentage after round 18, 2.04 per cent behind Bunbury in third.
Luke Abbott top scored for the side with 50 goals and finished second on the SWFL Reserves Goal-kicker of the Year competition.
Collie’s colts side wrapped up the year on sixth place, finishing the season with seven wins and eleven losses.
The colts ended up 14 points behind South Bunbury in fifth place.
