Perth's warm and sunny spring weather is not set to hang around, with the forecast predicting chilly temperatures and wintry rains for the remainder of the week.
While temperatures on Monday were set to reach a high of 27 degrees, the Bureau of Meteorology said Perth residents could expect showers, low temperatures and strong winds as a series of cold fronts pass through the region this week.
Duty forecaster Tisha Winstanley said the first cold front would hit WA early on Tuesday morning.
"We've got a cold front coming through and that will come in from the south west early tomorrow morning, and then come up the coast throughout the afternoon," she said.
"It's not a big cold front initially when it passes, but then we've got a trough coming down the west coast just after it starts to drop off.
"That trough looks set to clear a bit on Wednesday, but then more rain will come through in another pre-front either late on Wednesday evening or early on Thursday morning."
The seven-day outlook for the Perth metropolitan area appears grim, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 10 degrees and rain predicted throughout the week.
The worst weather is predicted for Thursday, with a 90 per cent chance of rain, strong north-westerly winds and a low of 14 degrees.
