A good field of 28 took part in a stableford event for the prestigious Grandmother’s Cup.
With the course in superb condition and playing hard, the best scores of the day were 33 points, with Deb VanVollenstee winning the coveted trophy on a countback from Vicki Graham.
Vicki’s score of 33 won the A-grade, with Angela Ireland taking second place with 32. Third place went to Lynne Simmonds with 31, winning count back from Dot Lawrence, also 31.
In the B-grade, Rhonda Annandale continued her great form to win with 33.
Runner-up was the consistent Lee Massara on 31, winning countback from Jean Hadfield 31. Fourth place went to Sue Earnshaw on 29 followed by Rhonda McGill 27.
Novelties were won by L. Motion (Sportfirst), D. Sullivan (D. Smallwood trophy), C. Swan (Boulevarde) and L. Annandale (S. Brittain award).
IN the par event played on Wednesday, September 27, Bev Moyses had a return to form to score an excellent +2, earning her the A-grade trophy.
Second place went to the ever consistent Lynne Simmonds all square, followed by Shelley Barker-May on -2. Vicki Graham took fourth spot with -3 and Deb VanVollenstee earned the last voucher with -4.
In the B-grade, Heather Dabrowski won with -2, two shots ahead of Annette Atherton -4. Third place went to Debra Martin on -5, followed by Blanche Faries -6 and Judy Italiano -7.
The novelties were won by S. Barker-May (Sportfirst), C. Swan (Club), D. Sulliavn (Club).
